Hidden Treasure 1 - Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Rooftop

Location and Route

Start from the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror. Enter the nearby alley, climb the long ladder to the first roof, then find the smaller second ladder that reaches the higher rooftop.

Requirement and Reward

This treasure is tied to the Old Drawing from its Chance Encounter after A Tempest at the Temple. Use Oni Vision on the higher rooftop to reveal the hidden chest and complete the treasure objective.

Common Mistake

Searching from street level or stopping on the first roof will not reveal the chest. Hidden Treasure 1 needs the second climb.

Hidden Treasure 2 - Yasaka Pagoda Waterfall

Location and Route

Travel to the Yasaka Pagoda Spirit Mirror and use the pagoda, ladder, and waterfall landmarks from the Old Drawing. Follow the stream down to the small waterfall.

Requirement and Reward

After the To Live is to Suffer unlock point, stand at the bottom of the waterfall and use Oni Vision to reveal the chest.

Common Mistake

Do not search only near the pagoda entrance. The reveal point is down by the waterfall.

Hidden Treasure 3 - Kamo River Temple Wall

Location and Route

Start at Kamo River East and enter the temple garden area near the Spirit Mirror. Move inside the wall toward the closed gate shown by the Old Drawing.

Requirement and Reward

After Okuni's Kabuki Dance unlocks this Chance Encounter, stand by the closed gate from inside the garden area and use Oni Vision to reveal the hidden chest.

Common Mistake

The clue is easy to misread from outside the wall. If Oni Vision does nothing, move inside the temple wall and try the gate from that side.

Hidden Treasure 4 - Gojo Street Shrine Balcony

Location and Route

Start near the Gojo Street East Spirit Mirror and reach the shrine-like building from the longer outside route.

Requirement and Reward

After The Demon on the Mount unlock point, stand on the exterior balcony and use Oni Vision to reveal the chest.

Common Mistake

Do not search inside the shrine-like building. The reveal triggers from the outside balcony.

Hidden Treasure 5 - Upper Yasaka Pagoda Rooftop

Location and Route

Return to Yasaka Pagoda, climb through the pagoda route, and reach the upper exterior rooftop.

Requirement and Reward

After In the Light of an Icy Moon unlocks this treasure, clear nearby Genma if needed, move to the southern side of the upper level, and use Oni Vision to reveal the last chest.

Common Mistake

The chest is not on an interior floor. Keep climbing until you are outside on the upper rooftop.

Exploration Tips

  • Read the Old Drawing as a landmark clue. The map marker narrows the area, but the exact reveal point depends on matching the drawing's landmark.
  • Check elevation and building sides. No. 1 requires the higher rooftop, No. 3 is triggered from inside the wall, and No. 4 is on the exterior balcony.
  • Use Oni Vision at the exact spot. The chest is hidden until the reveal action is used from the right position.
  • Keep puzzle notes nearby. If you are clearing optional rooms too, the Mask Puzzle Guide covers the mask-order solution.
